KEN McCABE
KEN McCABE
Ken was into music from an early age, having been exposed to the Stones, Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen and Led Zeppelin among others throughout his childhood. He was compelled to take up the guitar and subsequently bass when introduced to Nirvana during school. Other influences on his early playing style were bands such as Radiohead, Smashing Pumpkins and Muse. Ken’s palette was broadened in NUI Maynooth where he studied classical music as well as Jazz and World music. He met the original members of the Mob in Maynooth (who introduced him to Funk and Soul) and became one of the founding members of the band. Ken now has a diverse funky style drawing his main influences from Jaco Pastorius, Paul Jackson and Stuart Zender.
